What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing students build confidence in Mathematics and gradually realise that they are capable of solving problems independently. Watching that “light bulb moment†when a student finally understands a difficult concept is the most rewarding part for me. I also enjoy creating a supportive learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions and are motivated to keep improving.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths include a strong Mathematics foundation, achieved by achieving a full mark in Advanced Mathematics during my undergraduate studies, and the ability to explain complex ideas in a clear, relatable way. I use real-life examples, scaffolded exercises, and formative assessment to identify and address gaps in understanding. In addition, my patience and empathy allow me to connect well with students, tailoring my approach to different learning styles and abilities.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important role of a tutor is to help students develop confidence and independent learning skills. A tutor should not only teach content but also guide students to reason, ask questions, and apply problem-solving strategies. Equally important is building a positive relationship so that students feel supported, encouraged, and motivated to achieve their best.
