About Sarah

Experienced Language and Music Educator

Sarah brings several years of hands-on teaching experience to her tutoring, having worked one-on-one with young piano students and senior French students. With children as young as three, she has taught note-reading, rhythm and musical expression, building focus and confidence in a gentle, structured way. As a French tutor, she has guided high school students through speaking, listening, reading and writing, with her students achieving strong exam results. This blend of creative and academic teaching experience helps her explain concepts clearly and in engaging ways.

Strong English, French and Primary Maths Support

Having achieved top results in advanced English at school and high distinctions in university French and music studies, Sarah is well equipped to support students in English, French and primary to mid–high school Maths and Science. Her psychology studies give her insight into how different students learn, and she adapts explanations to suit each child. She draws on her own French exchange experience to bring language learning to life, using real-world examples, conversation practice and practical study strategies.

Calm, Creative Approach with Younger Learners

Sarah’s work in before- and after-school care, as well as holiday programmes, means she is used to helping children settle, focus and feel comfortable in new environments. She regularly designs simple games, creative activities and music-based exercises to keep students engaged while still meeting learning goals. Her background in yoga training supports a calm, patient manner, and she is skilled at breaking tasks into manageable steps. Parents can expect clear communication, reliability and a tutor who genuinely enjoys helping children grow in confidence.
