What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I think the most enjoyable aspect of tutoring is being able to have a positive impact on students - being able to guide them and seeing their results rise. However, for me, it's not really just the grades rising that is the most enjoyable aspect of tutoring, but it is more so when students become more confident over time in themselves and develop a genuine love of learning for what they are doing.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Apart from having been an academic myself, having attending a top selective school in Victoria, I believe my strengths lie in my empathy and ability to understand the positions that various students are in. I know what it's like to struggle with a concept at first and the feeling of confusion that can accompany it, but I also know what it takes to win academic awards and reach the top-end. In this sense, I'm able to cater to a variety of students with different goals, as I'm able to understand the position each of them are in and adjust my teaching method accordingly.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Being approachable is very important, as I don't want students to feel scared or hesitant to ask for help. Asking for feedback is another important thing that a tutor should do. As a tutor, I will always aim to improve the way that I teach, so asking for feedback can help me adjust the way I teach students, allowing for an improved teaching experience. Fostering an environment where students feel safe and secure is essential to ensuring that they feel motivated and enthusiastic to learn.
