What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I have had experience tutoring Maths to young children from disadvantaged backgrounds. I really enjoyed the experience of helping them learn and apply new concepts and be able to correctly solve Maths problems.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe I am patient and non-judgmental. I can also explain complicated concepts more simply to students giving metaphors and examples. I can do university level maths including solving 4th and 5th order polynomials using the rational root theorem and polynomial division as well as differentiation and integration.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important things a tutor can do for a student is to help them to work harder for themselves and enjoy Maths rather than just look at it as a chore. I can motivate students to develop their own creativity and intuition. Maths can become enjoyable once a student takes it as a hobby.

About Soliman

Friendly Tutor

I completed year 10 in the year 1990 at St Clair High School. I then went on to do an "Advanced Certificate in Computer Technology" for the next 2.5 years at TAFE. This course had Maths, Physics, Electronics, computers and Electrical Engineering in it. After completing this course I did the "Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering" at TAFE completing that in the year 1994 with credit average. I loved the Maths part of the course always. I then worked for 5 years in the telecommunications industry in NDC Limited, Telstra as a Telecommunications Technical Officer and Senior Telecommunications technical officer and Band 8 Technologist. Most of my work was in the office and doing field visits at telephone exchanges in the Network Design and Construction group but a 6 months rotation was at a Telephone exchange onsite doing physical work there like cabling and terminating. I dealt with Alcatel AXE and System 12 telephone exchange equipment.

Friendly Tutor

I then started my own computer repair business and worked on it for a number of years. Later in life when I was 35 years of age I decided to go to University and do my first Bachelor's Degree. In 2015 I completed a "Bachelor of Engineering in Information and Communications Technology Engineering with a Diploma in Engineering Practice". Afterwards I held a number of jobs as a Software Engineer and Programmer.

Friendly Tutor

After completing my first Bachelor's degree, I decided to go back to University in 2018 completing a postgraduate "Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Studies" in the year 2018 and doing those classes on a part time basis. I then decided to get my first Masters Degree in Information Technology, doing it on a part time basis starting in the year 2019. I completed my "Masters Degree of Information Technology in Software Development" in the year 2024 and graduated in February 2025 with Distinction average. My first introduction to tutoring started between the years 2000 to 2005 while doing my computer business someone hired me to tutor their kid out of the blue. I also had about 3 months experience with "Western Sydney Training and Education Centre" in tutoring young children and I absolutely loved tutoring them in Maths especially. Once they got the concept it gave me a great amount of joy. I then accepted a role with Ezy Math Tutoring in February 2026 as a Maths Tutor and have been working there ever since.
