Aranjay showed a solid foundation in multiplication. He knows his times tables well and can competently solve multi-digit multiplication questions that require regrouping. He also handles 2-step word problems independently, demonstrating good reading comprehension and problem-solving logic.

He is currently struggling with long division. While he understands the concept of basic dividing, he lacks fluency with the standard long division process. He found it difficult to grasp and remember the steps involved (dividing, multiplying, subtracting, and bringing down). We will need to focus heavily on breaking down this specific process in our next lessons.

Nicoletta was confident blending 'o_e'/'oa'/ 'ow'/'o' words, completing her sound wave exercise with little assistance.

We will continue to work on her speed in blending sounds and build her sight word vocabulary, to improve her overall reading speed

Nicoletta confidently blended words containing the 'y' and 'igh' sounds and successfully completed her reading exercises with very little support. Her ability to recognise high-frequency words is steadily improving, which has greatly boosted her independence.

In phonics, she needs a bit more practice with the 'i_e' split digraph sound (as heard in words like bike or kite). In math, we need to keep working on counting in 10s and 1s, as she is still occasionally mixing up groups of tens with groups of ones when counting

Nicoletta is steadily building her confidence when reading aloud to others. She also successfully mastered blending sounds using 'm' and 'mm' words during our phonics drill

To further enhance her reading fluency and pacing, we will continue targeting the automatic recognition of high-frequency words
