What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I really enjoy seeing kids who previously have not understood a topic, have that spark in their eyes and passion when they completely understand a topic for the first time. I enjoy teaching kids and seeing them become the best versions of themselves

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am very patient and friendly and connect well with children so this fosters a positive learning environment for them. I am knowledgeable in many areas of mathematics and science (I am currently studying a bachelor of biomedical engineering at Monash University).

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Actively listen and learn about the students needs to be able to help them to the best of my ability and be patient in their understanding and learning. To create a safe space for students to be able to ask questions and feel supported in their learning.

About Ashlynn

Experienced Youth Leader for Primary and Early High School Students

Ashlynn has several years of hands-on experience leading programmes for children aged 10–12, regularly planning activities, talks and games that keep students engaged and on track. She confidently manages large groups of primary-aged children, guiding discussions and maintaining smooth room flow. In every session, she balances fun with clear expectations, helping students feel both excited and secure. Her regular communication with parents means families stay informed and involved in their child’s progress and experience.

Strong Communication, Classroom Management and Pastoral Care

As a children’s room leader, this tutor supervises teams of volunteers, runs pre- and post-session briefings, and ensures safety and wellbeing are front and centre. She is used to being “on stage”, hosting interactive games and delivering prepared messages, which translates into clear, confident explanations in tutoring sessions. Her background in youth programmes has given her a calm, organised approach to behaviour management, helping even shy or energetic students stay focused and feel supported while they learn.

STEM-Focused Student with a Practical, Relatable Style

Currently studying biomedical engineering, Ashlynn brings strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills into her tutoring, especially for Maths and science-related topics. She is comfortable breaking down complex ideas into simple, step-by-step explanations and using real-life examples to make abstract concepts easier to grasp. Her experience planning youth activities means she can turn practice questions into interactive challenges, helping students build confidence, persistence and a positive attitude towards learning.
