What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing real improvement in students over time, especially when they gain confidence and start to enjoy learning maths rather than feeling intimidated by it. I find it very rewarding to guide students onto the right learning track and help them realise that maths is not just about memorising formulas, but about understanding ideas. I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is to help students become genuinely interested in learning and exploring concepts on their own. When students develop curiosity and confidence, they are more likely to engage actively and improve in the long term. Encouraging the right mindset is just as important as teaching content. Only when students are willing and motivated to learn can real progress happen. A tutor should support, guide, and encourage students so they gradually become independent learners rather than relying solely on external help.
