What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing real improvement in students over time, especially when they gain confidence and start to enjoy learning maths rather than feeling intimidated by it. I find it very rewarding to guide students onto the right learning track and help them realise that maths is not just about memorising formulas, but about understanding ideas.
One experience I am particularly proud of is helping a Cambridge Grade 10 student who was previously performing at a C level improve to an A in their final maths exam. Seeing that transformation — both academically and in mindset —
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my biggest strengths is my strong mathematics background, having achieved high results in the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Mathematics programs. This allows me to explain concepts clearly and accurately.
I am also a fast learner and quick to adapt, which helps me adjust my teaching style to suit different students. Being relatively young, I can easily relate to students and understand how they think, what confuses them, and what motivates them.
In addition, I have strong communication skills — I am a native Vietnamese speaker and fluent in English — which helps me explain ideas simply an
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is to help students become genuinely interested in learning and exploring concepts on their own. When students develop curiosity and confidence, they are more likely to engage actively and improve in the long term.
Encouraging the right mindset is just as important as teaching content. Only when students are willing and motivated to learn can real progress happen. A tutor should support, guide, and encourage students so they gradually become independent learners rather than relying solely on external help.

About Quoc Bao
Relatable Commerce Student Who Connects With Teens
Quoc Bao is a Bachelor of Commerce student who relates naturally to high school learners, especially those juggling schoolwork with online life. With fluent English and Vietnamese, he can support bilingual students or those from multilingual homes. His own study of accounting and finance means he is comfortable breaking down numbers, logical thinking and structured problem-solving in a clear, step-by-step way that suits both primary and secondary students in Maths and related subjects.
Proven Experience Explaining Ideas Online
As a co-founder and manager of a large social media page, this tutor has years of experience explaining ideas in simple, engaging ways. He has created visual content, translated between English and Vietnamese, and adjusted his explanations based on audience feedback. This has sharpened his ability to rephrase concepts, check understanding, and keep students interested—valuable skills for helping learners who may find classroom explanations confusing or too fast.
Tech-Savvy, Patient and Structured Support
Quoc Bao brings strong time management, multitasking and “working under pressure” skills from running an online community and supporting an online store. He uses tools like Microsoft 365 and AI-based resources to create practice questions, revision sheets and visual aids tailored to each student. In lessons, he focuses on building confidence through small, achievable steps, helping students organise their study, manage deadlines, and turn tricky Maths or English tasks into clear, manageable routines.
