What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy helping students grow as they approach higher and higher levels of learning. I also love to communicate with the students as their personal experiences and creativity can allow me to discover new ideas in my own life.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I’m an undergraduate uni students that just finished my hsc in the 2025 school year. I have confidence to transfer the math skills that I used to achieve a band 6 maths advanced result to my teaching.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I prioritise building the students’ fundamental understanding of a certain topic as it allows them to apply those concepts and principles in future courses. I also consider the training of logical thinking through solving difficulties as it can be useful in things beyond mathematics.

About Isaac

Strong Maths Results and Current Senior Student Perspective

Isaac is a current senior high school student with excellent results in advanced mathematics, achieving more than 90% in his courses and a top band in Maths Extension 1. This tutor understands exactly what today’s students are learning and how maths is assessed, so his explanations are clear, up to date and exam-focused. Isaac is well placed to support both primary and high school students who need help building confidence with core maths skills or stretching themselves further.

Clear Communicator Who Keeps Things Organised

With strong organisational skills, Isaac helps students break big topics into manageable steps, using simple language and worked examples to make concepts less intimidating. He encourages students to show their working and think aloud, so he can quickly spot gaps and fix misunderstandings. Lessons are structured but flexible, with practice questions and short check-ins so parents can see steady progress over time.

Relatable Role Model for Younger Learners

As someone who has recently mastered the same maths content, Isaac brings a relatable, big-brother style approach to tutoring. He uses his own study habits—such as creating step-by-step solution sheets and quick-reference formula notes—to show students practical ways to study smarter, not longer. This tutor focuses on building both skills and self-belief, helping students feel comfortable asking questions and more confident walking into tests.
