What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

One thing i enjoy the most about tutoring is being able to know that my help is improving a students work, increasing their work ethic and being their to motivate them to improve and work hard in school to achieve results to the best of their ability. Seeing a happy student, excited to learn, to see me, and to tell me their acheivement is incredibly rewarding.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

A key strength I believe I have is my outgoing and friendly personality. I believe having a welcoming and warm personality is what enables me to connect with my students. I am able to create a deep connection with my students rather than a formal student - teacher relationship. Another strength as a tutor is patience. I understand that students learn at different speeds, and I’m comfortable explaining a concept in multiple ways until it clicks. I try to break complex topics into smaller, manageable steps.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is help students become independent learners. Instead of just giving answers, a tutor should guide students through the thinking process so they can eventually solve problems on their own. Probing the student towards the answer builds confident students. It also helps them to understand how to tackle new questions and to work it out on their own.

About Lisini

Emerging Tutor with Real Classroom and Coaching Experience

Lisini is a recent high school graduate who already brings hands-on teaching experience to her tutoring. She has volunteered as a private English tutor, running one-on-one sessions focused on reading comprehension, essay writing and grammar. She has also helped in a community language school, assisting teachers with classroom activities, preparing learning materials and supporting younger students. These roles mean she understands how to explain ideas clearly, keep students engaged and adapt her approach to different ages and abilities.

Strong Academic Record and Study Skills to Share

Throughout high school, this tutor consistently earned academic and learner awards, reflecting strong results and excellent learning habits. She has experience helping students develop study routines, organise their work and build independent learning strategies, not just finish homework. In English, she gives detailed feedback on structure, clarity and expression so students know exactly how to improve. Parents can expect a tutor who models good habits and shows students practical ways to lift their performance over time.

Confident Young Role Model with Leadership and Discipline

Beyond academics, Lisini brings leadership and coaching experience from roles such as house captain and secondary karate instructor. She has led groups of younger students, managed activities and demonstrated discipline, resilience and teamwork on and off the training floor. In tutoring sessions, she draws on this background to create a calm, respectful environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. Her approachable, big-sister style helps students build confidence, while her structured, goal-focused approach keeps them progressing steadily.
