What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student finally understand something they were struggling with. It’s really rewarding to watch their confidence grow over time. I also enjoy building a positive connection with students and helping them feel more comfortable asking questions without feeling judged.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my main strengths are patience and clear communication. I take the time to explain things in different ways until it makes sense, and I try to adapt my teaching style depending on how the student learns best. I’m also reliable and organised, which helps create a structured and supportive learning environment.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is build a student’s confidence. It’s not just about improving grades, but helping them believe they’re capable. A good tutor should also create a safe space for questions, provide encouragement, and teach study skills that students can use independently in the future.

About sanaa

Experienced Peer Tutor with a Science Focus

Sanaa is a current university student studying Animal Science and Zoology, and brings strong Maths and English skills to her tutoring. She has volunteered as a peer tutor in both high school and university, helping classmates understand subject content and prepare for exams. In these roles, she has explained complex ideas in simple steps, checked understanding with practice questions, and supported students to lift their results. This tutor is especially good at helping students who feel “stuck” find a clear and manageable way forward.

Patient, Clear Communicator for All Learning Styles

Through one-on-one peer tutoring, Sanaa has learnt how to adjust explanations to suit visual, verbal, and hands-on learners. She often breaks problems into small stages, uses real-life examples from science and everyday life, and encourages students to “teach back” what they’ve learnt to build confidence. Her background in science has strengthened her critical thinking and problem-solving, which she uses to guide students step by step through tricky Maths and English tasks, homework, and revision.

Organised, Reliable and Engaging Role Model

Balancing university study with volunteer tutoring has given Sanaa strong time management and organisation, which she passes on to her students through simple study plans and exam-preparation strategies. She is used to working in busy, people-focused environments and communicates calmly and respectfully with children, teens, and parents. This tutor aims to make sessions friendly and engaging, using students’ own interests to design examples and practice questions, so they stay motivated and feel proud of their progress.
