What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
As a tutor, it is most rewarding to see students not only understanding the concept and succeeding academically well, but also when they finally build their confidence. Whilst academic improvement it’s important, I find it especially rewarding to help students develop a better approach to challenging topics. That’s why I enjoy when I see students ask questions, attempt problems independently and grow curious about the topic, because it shows that they are engaged and are becoming more confident. As a tutor being able to influence a student’s attitude to learning makes me feel proud.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor, my strength involves the ability to break complex topics down into simpler explanations. I try to explain ideas in different ways until the student finds an approach that works for them whether it’d be through visual diagrams or analogies etc. Another strength would be effective communication. Whilst explanations are important, I believe learning is most effective when students are consistently challenged. Therefore, communicating explanations and then asking students questions helps solidify their understanding of the topic.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing that a tutor should do is to ensure that the student conceptually understands the content rather than simply memorizing materials. This way students feel more confident in answering similar questions independently.
