What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I’m happy and confident being a tutor. It makes me connect with students and help them overcome challenges in their academic journey. It brings me joy to work with them and see them climb high on their academic ladders.

My Strengths as Tutor šŸ’Ŗ

I have good communication skills. I also have the skill to explain academic concepts to students in a less complex manner in which they can grasp the knowledge easily. I do research apart from their textbooks to keep my own knowledge updated so that I can give the students the best service possible.

Most important things I can do for a student šŸ…

I believe building up the students confidence and making them think that they are capable of achieving great things and doing better. Also a tutor needs to adapt based on each students strengths and weaknesses. We need to use different explanation techniques based on the students skills and abilities so that they understand concepts better. A tutor also need to create a safe space for the students to be comfortable with them because the students can ask questions and get more explanations on the section they aren’t familiar with.

About Dilki

Experienced Tutor with Strong ICT and Business Focus

Dilki is an experienced tutor who has supported small groups of secondary students in Business Studies and ICT through personalised, onetoone lessons. She plans each session carefully, creates her own practice tests, and uses these to track progress and identify gaps early. With a background in Commerce and ICT at school and further study in Business Information Systems and Computer Science, she explains complex ideas in simple, practical ways that make sense to teens preparing for exams or needing extra subject confidence.

TechSavvy, Organised and Great with Young People

With diplomas in IT and Computer Science and coursework in programming, networking and web technologies, this tutor brings uptodate digital skills into her teaching. She is comfortable using online tools, creating digital resources and showing students how to use technology to study smarter, not just harder. Her experience leading as a student council assistant secretary and school prefect means she is organised, reliable and used to guiding younger students respectfully and clearly.

Creative Coaching Style and Supportive Learning Environment

Beyond academics, Dilki has coached traditional dance, designing lesson plans, warmups and choreography for different skill levels. This coaching experience shapes her tutoring style: she breaks tasks into manageable steps, uses clear routines, and celebrates small improvements to keep students motivated. Having been a student leader, Interact Club member and part of a school dance team, she understands how to build rapport, encourage shy learners and blend structure with creativity so students feel comfortable asking questions and trying new challenges.
