What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The thing I enjoy most is seeing the student's facial expression go from confused to that "eureka" moment. It feels very rewarding. Moreover, I love the challenge of breaking down complex ideas into something logical and tangible. For me, it's more about building better study habits and a mindset where they aren't afraid to ask "why."

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

As an engineering student, I bring a fresh perspective on organisation and time management skills that are essential for students transitioning through high school. I can guide them to handle their workload so they don't feel overwhelmed. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach. One of my strengths is finding the specific logic gap in a student’s understanding. If a visual explanation doesn't click, I'll move to a hands-on or logic-based approach until we find the exact method that works for their learning style.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

A vital thing a tutor can do is create an environment where the student feels safe to fail. In a school setting, there's often a fear of looking "slow" in front of peers. I believe a tutor's job is to remove that pressure, encouraging the student to ask the "dumb" questions. Once that anxiety is gone, their brain actually becomes much more open to learning. Another thing is to transform the student from a passive listener to an active problem-solver.
