What I enjoy the most about tutoring is seeing a student's perspective on topics they once thought were beyond their grasp suddenly become clear once explained. One of my key strengths is being able to break down topics to its fundamental ideas. It helps students ease into their lessons better as the burden of understanding "a chunk of information" is taken off their shoulders. In order to keep them engaged, I also ask them small questions during the discussion so they can reinforce what they learn almost immediately.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is create a space for their students where they feel safe. Often times, students feel scared to ask questions in class because they think its too "silly"- it is essential that tutors are able to create a space where students do not feel as if they will be judged for their answers/opinions.
