What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to support others in a way I know I would have valued myself. Whether students gain a better understanding of content, develop effective study strategies, or simply feel reassured knowing someone has been in their position previously in terms of struggle, it is very rewarding to see them leave each session feeling more confident than when they arrived.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

My strengths as a tutor come from the variety of students I have worked with, from primary school to university. These experiences have given me a better understanding of the diverse academic needs of students. I am skilled at tailoring instruction to each individual, such as adapting lessons to overcome language barriers, reinforcing lecture content with practice questions, or providing targeted guidance to deepen understanding. Working with students from varied academic and cultural backgrounds has given me the skillset to best support student needs.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I believe that the most important role of a tutor is to provide reassurance and create an environment where students can feel heard and understood. By recognising and addressing their individual challenges, a tutor can support students in a way that strengthens both their understanding and their confidence, enabling them to engage with the academic material independently and approach future learning with greater self-assurance.

About Srishti

Experienced Classroom Teacher with Strong Maths and English Focus

Srishti is a first-year medical student with solid classroom experience as a primary school teacher, where she planned and delivered lessons in Maths, Reading, Writing and Grammar for Year 5 students. She is used to working with mixed-ability classes and tailored her instruction to support learners at different levels, including many students learning in a second language. Her work contributed to a measurable improvement in reading results, showing that her methods translate into real progress for students.

Proven OnetoOne and SmallGroup Tutor Across Levels

Beyond the primary classroom, this tutor has run onetoone and smallgroup sessions in subjects such as Calculus, Physics, Biology and Chemistry, giving her a strong foundation in explaining tricky ideas clearly and step by step. She regularly used practice questions and guided problemsolving to build students’ confidence before exams. Drawing on this experience, she can break down school Maths and Science topics into manageable pieces and coach students in effective study and exam techniques.

Clear Communicator Who Adapts to Each Student

Srishti brings strong communication skills from both education and healthcare settings, where accuracy, patience and listening are essential. She has worked with students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds, adjusting her explanations, examples and pace to suit each learner. In lessons, she likes to use reallife scenarios from everyday life and science to make abstract ideas more concrete, helping students not just memorise content but genuinely understand it and feel more confident at school.
