What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I personally enjoy the subjects that I tutor, being able to have these subjects as a part of my work is a great privilege and joy. But what I even find more enjoyable is leading a student into a successful academic journey which they get better and more accomplished over time.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
Iβm very good at breaking things down to a more intuitive and simple form. I am structured in my teaching and always approach things with a plan. In addition to my teaching approach, I believe my personality is also a major factor. Iβm a patient, approachable, enthusiastic and encouraging, which helps students be more interested in topics, and feel more comfortable with asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence in their learning.
Most important things I can do for a student π
In short, making the academic journey simpler and more enjoyable. To do this, I think a tutor should have the ability to: identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the student, build a personalised structured learning plan, build foundational understanding of subjects not just memorisation, break down complex concepts into manageable chunks, provide personalised explanations, and build confidence in topics.

About Ozhan
Strong Maths Background with Real Problem-Solving Skills
Ozhan is a mechanical engineering student with a deep grounding in higher-level mathematics from the International Baccalaureate. He has received an excellence award in advanced maths, showing he not only understands complex concepts but can apply them under pressure. This tutor is used to breaking down tricky problems step by step, helping students see the logic behind formulas rather than just memorising them. His engineering studies further sharpen his analytical thinking, which he brings directly into his maths tutoring.
Clear Communicator Who Explains Ideas Simply
Through his studies, Ozhan has been assessed for his learning skills, including communication and independent learning, and scored highly in both. He focuses on checking studentsβ understanding as he goes, adjusting his explanations until ideas really click. Used to explaining complicated physics and maths concepts to classmates, he is patient and methodical, turning abstract ideas into simple, everyday examples. This approach helps students build genuine confidence, not just short-term test answers.
Organised, Reliable and Focused on Student Growth
Ozhan brings strong personal organisation and attention to detail to every session, ensuring lessons are structured, on time and well prepared. He holds a current Working with Children Check, giving parents added peace of mind. As a bilingual speaker of Farsi and English, he can relate well to students from diverse backgrounds and is sensitive to different learning needs. He aims to help students become more independent learners, not just improve their marks, so they feel ready for future study.
