What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most is the moment a concept clicks for a student. During my time tutoring IB Economics and Maths at school, I found that breaking down complex ideas like calculus applications or economic evaluation into simpler explanations was genuinely rewarding. I love adapting my approach to suit each student's learning style and seeing their confidence grow as a result.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My main strengths are subject knowledge and adaptability. Having scored a 42/45 in the IB Diploma with a 7 in Economics HL, I have a deep understanding of the content and exam expectations. More importantly, I'm able to explain things in different ways depending on what works for each student. I developed this through regularly helping classmates during study periods and after school, where every person needed a slightly different approach.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important things are building genuine understanding rather than just memorisation, developing strong exam technique, and improving confidence. A good tutor should help students identify their specific weaknesses, work through them (for example using past papers to spot common mistakes) and ultimately make the student feel capable of tackling problems independently.

His sessions often include timed practice and step-by-step breakdowns of full-mark responses.
Peer-tested teaching style that makes concepts click
Ayaan has spent extensive time informally tutoring classmates in both Maths and Economics, during study periods and after school. He is used to explaining tricky ideas like calculus applications or economic evaluation in several different ways until they click.
