What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to help people achieve their goals. When I finished HSC, I realised that so much of the content that I had learned was never able to be put on paper, which is when I realised how fun it would be to teach it to someone else. From then I started tutoring my friend who is now in his HSC year and we both are finding it enjoyable.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my strengths is that I wasn't academic in school until year 11 due to a lack of interest, which means that I can empathise and understand students that might not be as interested in school or are just having a trouble getting the hang of school. Furthermore, I am very social and love making friends which would allow me to connect with all my students.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
From experience, I think one of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is allowing the student to be able to set their own goals. As a tutor I should still push students to do the best they can, but I feel that students typically only do what they want to do unless they are academically competitive. I just want to be able to help students get to where they want to go (or where their parents want them to if they are in younger grades).
