What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students gain confidence in subjects they may have previously struggled with. I find it really rewarding seeing a student gradually understand something and become more comfortable asking questions and working independently. I also enjoy building a positive and supportive learning environment. I have experience tutoring a Grade 6 student, which helped me develop my communication skills and taught me the importance of adapting lessons to suit different learning styles.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I think one of my biggest strengths as a tutor is being able to tailor my teaching strategy to each individual student rather than using the exact same approach for everyone. I understand that every student learns differently, so I try to explain concepts in ways that make the most sense to them. Iโm also very patient and approachable, which helps students feel comfortable asking questions without feeling judged. My previous tutoring experience with a Grade 6 student also helped me strengthen my ability to explain concepts clearly and encourage students when they feel stuck.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
think one of the most important things a tutor can do is understand how each individual student learns and adapt accordingly. Every student has different strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles, so creating a supportive and personalised approach is really important. A tutor should also help build a studentโs confidence, not just improve their academic results, because confidence often has a huge impact on a studentโs willingness to participate and learn.
