What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The moment something clicks for a student. You can see it on their face, they go from frustrated to confident, sometimes within a single session. I also genuinely enjoy the process of finding the right way to explain something. Every student is different, so it becomes almost a puzzle, figuring out where exactly they're stuck and what angle will make it land. That process is something I find really satisfying.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Patience and adaptability. I never stick to one way of explaining something. If the first approach isn't working I'll try a different angle, a visual, a real world example, or just slow right down and rebuild from the basics. I think my academic background also helps because I'm genuinely comfortable with the harder material, whether that's IB Economics, university level Finance, or quantitative subjects. And having been a student fairly recently myself, I remember what it felt like to be lost in a topic, which makes me more empathetic.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Build confidence alongside content. A lot of students who need tutoring have already decided they're bad at a subject before the session even starts, so half the job is shifting that mindset. Beyond that, consistency matters , showing up prepared, being reliable, and genuinely caring about their progress rather than just ticking through the material. And ultimately a good tutor should be working towards making themselves unnecessary, teaching the student how to think through problems independently, not just feeding them answers.
