What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most rewarding part of tutoring is seeing a student's confidence grow when a concept finally clicks. I've tutored a Year 9 family friend who improved from a C to an A in mathematics, and I regularly help my younger brother with his Year 3 homework. There's genuine fulfilment in knowing I've contributed to someone's success, and I love sharing the practical tips and tricks I've learned from my own teachers that make difficult topics more manageable.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'm skilled at identifying what each student needs and adapting my approach accordingly. If they're struggling with a specific topic, I break it down until it's solid. If they need general improvement, I focus on practice and application. I completed my Advanced Mathematics HSC in 2025 with a Band 6, and I'm currently excelling in all my Year 12 subjects. My teaching style is conversational and approachable, where I build trust so students feel comfortable admitting what they don't understand, while maintaining a respectful tutor/student relationship.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
First, create an environment where students feel safe asking questions without judgment. Second, adapt to each student's individual needs rather than following a rigid approach. Third, focus on building independence, not just helping with immediate tasks, but equipping students with strategies and confidence they can use in future learning.
