I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to be patient, and to help the student learn to learn. It is an easier job to tell a student the correct answers than to help them understand how to get there. Taking the time to ensure a student truly understands each lesson and correction can inadvertently be the fastest way to real growth. As the student learns, it is important to be patient with them.
