A student needs a teacher that can guide them through the learning process rather than just talking at them. Additionally, I think one of the most underrated traits as a teacher is humour. Humour can create a learning environment more enjoyable. Teaching isn't only about being able to explain something really well, but it is also being able to find something relatable so that the students have a relationship with what is being taught.
