Business Studies Tutor Upper Caboolture, QLD
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to show the student that they can have fun while they learn. I am a very patient person and I am able to explain things in a variety of different ways, a skill, that I believe, of vital importance to a tutor. I also love coming up with different ways to make sessions as fun as…

Business Studies Tutor Caboolture, QLD
The most important thing that a tutor can do is to be patient. It can be extremely easy for students to become frustrated with themselves when learning something new, so the best thing to do is to be patient and easy going so as to alleviate any further stress. We're only human, so we simply have to treat each other like it. I am a great…

Local Reviews

We have had two tutors work with our son since we started with Ezy Maths and they have both been great. Able to motivate a talented but difficult teenager and get him to take responsibility for his learning. I have really appreciated the feedback reports and the flexibility with tutoring sessions to fit into, not only our son's schedule, but that of our family too. Fantastic company.

Inside WamuranTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 6 student Darell worked on identifying prime and composite numbers and practiced calculations with square and triangular numbers.

In Year 9, Rebecca focused on simplifying algebraic terms and applying rates to solve real-world questions from her homework.

For Year 11, Joshua tackled textbook problems involving trigonometry—specifically the sine rule and cosine rule—while also reviewing how to transpose equations for his upcoming assessments.

Recent Challenges

In Year 10 Maths, one student often avoided writing out steps for equations, relying on mental calculations—he skipped showing steps in algebra, which hid sign errors. This made it difficult to trace where mistakes occurred, especially with more complex problems.

Meanwhile, a Year 8 student struggled with keeping notes organized and rarely reviewed material between lessons; this meant confusion resurfaced during revision for tests.

In Year 6, skipping homework led to weaker recall of multiplication tables and slowed progress in class activities.

After missing key practice, another senior student hesitated to catch up independently, falling behind classmates' understanding.

Recent Achievements

One Wamuran tutor noticed that a Year 11 student, Joshua, has started asking specific questions whenever he's unsure about the steps in complex equations—a big shift from last term when he'd quietly move on without clarifying.

Rebecca, also in high school, is now openly identifying weak topics instead of guessing, making it much easier to target her learning.

In a recent primary session, Charlie demonstrated real independence completing homework out loud and double-checking his work—something he hesitated to do just weeks ago.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Caboolture Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Wamuran State School.
