Enriching a students' knowledge of a topic and allowing that increased knowledge to shine through their academic prowess within their schooling efforts. My strengths would definitely be my strong knowledge of literature as well as my growing ability to teach. My only weakness, if I had to choose one would be my age, as I am still quite…

To be able to understand that everyone learns in a different manner and being able to adapt the teaching method to best suit each student. It is also really important to create a comfortable environment wherer students feel okay to ask questions and make mistakes, because often, that is where the real learning happens I am a strong and clear…

The most important thing a tutor can do is entrenching in the student the right attitude and study habits, there is nothing more important than having the willingness to try harder after failure and studying effectively. Strenghs: strong communicator, patient, persistent, devoted Weaknesses: not much formal…

I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to build their confidence, create a safe space where they feel comfortable asking questions, and adapt lessons to their individual needs. It' s not just about helping them get the right answers, but about showing them how to approach problems, develop good study habits, and enjoy…

My method of tutoring is through patience and being available to the student. Not every student learns the same and not every student needs a tutor, but the time they start asking several questions for the first time, that is when you need to be available and be patient with every students progress. If the first interaction with a tutor goes bad…

I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to build their confidence, foster independent thinking, and create a safe space where they feel comfortable asking questions. It's not just about helping them get the right answers, but about helping them understand the process and develop the tools to tackle future challenges on…

Business Studies Tutor Toongabbie, NSW
Some of the most important things are: 1. The student will receive an individualised learning experience he or she can’t always get in a classroom setting. I can customise the lessons and activities just for your child. 2. I get to know your child’s individual learning style and can adapt teaching methods accordingly. 3.I will prepare your…

As a tutor it is vital that they are encouraging and always find solutions to help a student who may find a certain aspects of a subject difficult or they may not like. It is also important as a tutor to listen and respond to the students needs and goals, and be organised to set those small stepping stones to help the student to achieve that. My…

Online learning my 9 year old son found challenging. He excels in class room learning and during the school closures his development learning in maths suffered. He has only had a couple of tutor sessions and already his teacher an I have noticed an improvement is his confidence to attempt math problems he finds challenging.

Inside FairfieldTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 3 student Jafar focused on writing persuasive texts and stories using prompts, while also building skills in calculating change and interpreting graphs.

For Year 9, Sienna practised solving simultaneous equations and explored applications of graphing inequalities, often working through examples step-by-step.

Meanwhile, Year 10 student Sam covered the sine rule and cosine rule in trigonometry, alongside finding exact values for common angles by applying formulae to real-world problems.

Recent Challenges

A Year 11 student repeatedly left differentiation rules half-memorised, leading to confusion when tackling derivatives of constants or linear functions; as a tutor noted, "he still needs practice with basic differentiation rules—he needs to be able to solve specific problems without my help."

In contrast, a Year 8 student's homework was sometimes incomplete or done incorrectly, requiring time in lessons to finish missed work rather than move forward.

Meanwhile, during persuasive writing in Year 6 English, one learner struggled to turn ideas into sentences without prompts and often responded with "I don't know" before attempting answers. Confidence and independence suffered in these moments.

Recent Achievements

A Fairfield tutoring session saw a Year 10 student, previously hesitant to attempt simultaneous equations without help, independently set up and solved worded problems using both elimination and substitution methods for the first time.

Meanwhile, a Year 11 student who often avoided class participation is now actively asking relevant questions during lessons on trigonometric applications in three dimensions, showing genuine engagement with new content.

For a younger learner in primary school, after initially finding subtraction across zeroes confusing, he was able to confidently explain his solution process back to the tutor.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Fairfield Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Fairfield Public School.
