As our company name suggests, we want to make tutoring "Ezy" for parents, students and tutors! We're super passionate about education and especially about maths. Helping a student reach levels of accomplishment that were previously unknown changes their life and sets them up for long term success. It's a "feel good" experience for the student, for parents...and of course for us! Our testimonials are the inspiration that keep us going through hard times. Tutoring works well when it is consistent, reliable, flexible and easy to manage ... otherwise, for a combination of reasons, we don't get the impact we want.
So here's how the service works: We will organise for a local Plumpton maths tutor to reach out to you and organise the time and day for the lesson. The tutor comes to you. You can have the tutoring as often or as little as you like. There are no booking fees or "extras" of any sort. You simply get an invoice at the end of each month for the tuition time used. Best of all, your first lesson works as a trial, so if for some reason the tutor isn't a good fit for your family, you won't be charged for that lesson!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Lexi has been improving in her learning strategies and now successfully utilises Talking Aloud and Self Questioning Techniques without being prompted. Nevertheless, Lexi still needs to improve on her Back Checking and Note Taking skills in order to improve on her problem solving techniques. This month, Lexi has also started tackling division problems (both word/problem solving and numeral division questions). Her understanding of division has greatly improved.
Has a positive attitude towards his work and he efforts for tackling questions are good. His work habit is good, balancing his maths with his other subjects, but perhaps he could work on not giving up on questions so easily and looking at them from a different perspective.
Although with the new topics we have covered Maddison seems to have a good grasp of the topic, I have noticed some problems with incorporating fractions into current topics. As we work together more we can focus on improving this area, and with more time we can identify any other gaps to address.
Venessa was great and we will be asking her to come back again in the new year.
Our daughter seems to respond well to Adam and even though it's still early days she is much more confident! Thanks
The tutoring sessions with Dominic are going very well. He has certainly helped Kailiana to gain confidence and skills in maths, while keeping a calm, friendly, and easy-going mood for the tutoring sessions. As any 8 year old does, Kailiana can get distracted from time to time, but Dominic has always taken this in stride, and been very creative in engaging with Kailiana in order to retain her attention. For example, there was one instance where she jumped up out of nowhere and decided to feed her goldfish in the middle of them trying to solve some questions about volume. Once she got back to the table Dominic asked her about her fish, and then changed the objects in the question they were solving to fish. He effectively got her back on track and engaged her attention in a warm and gentle way. Kailiana looks forward to her tutoring sessions, with is another testament to the good work Dominic has been doing with her.
