What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing the progress from my student as each session passes, whether that be their scores and the confidence they feel in a subject, or simply beginning to like a subject previously found boring or difficult. I enjoy the sense of accomplishment this provides me as it proves I am doing my job as a tutor and mentor in a way that truly benefits the student.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
From my previous experience, I believe that my strength as a tutor is my ability to adapt my method of tutoring to match the style a student finds most effective for their understanding. I found that asking questions about a topic was most beneficial for my past student, as it gave them the opportunity to display their knowledge, as well as highlight any areas they don't understand yet.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
One important thing a tutor can do for a student is be patient, meaning a tutor should not rush the session along and cover another topic, if the student is not fully confident with what was already covered in the session. I believe this minimises stress for a student, as they are less likely to feel pressure to learn a topic they may find difficult, in a short amount of time.
