What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The impact i make and its fun. I lived in Paris for 6 months where i took care of 2 boys, 6 and 11. I helped them practice there English and homework. The youngest cried when i left and that was one of the greatest feelings.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'm very calm so when they seem to be struggling I'm able to handle it very well. I also have ADHD so even with students with disabilities I'm able to solve and explain problems in multiple different ways. I also have a younger sister whom I've helped with school work, so i have experience with female students. I also scored a 96 WAM last term in university, with biology/chemistry and history as my strongest subjects.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Be understanding and empower them. IF they are struggling, the ability to stop them from being frustrated or minimize it is the most important skill other than being good at explaining concepts. And empowering a student to make them believe they can accomplish what they want is the goal of tutoring.
