What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love being able to connect with students and help them build passion and confidence in their studies, seeing them have a sense of accomplishment and believing in their own abilities. Knowing the importance of mentors in my life, it gives me joy to use my own knowledge and skills to give back and help younger ones achieve their goals.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am highly driven and organised and aim to be well-prepared before each tutoring session, understanding the individual needs of students and their progress. In my volunteer tutoring experience at HOPE WorldWide Centre for Kids Hong Kong, I have learnt to put myself in the shoes of students, having patience and humility in helping them solve problems and build confidence. I have also achieved overall HSC scores of 90 and 80 in math extension 1 and 2 respectively, as well as a score of 91 in business studies, ensuring sufficient skills and knowledge to assist students in their learning.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important things are to be able to help a student find passion in their studies and enjoy learning. It would be crucial to break down abstract or complicated concepts into simple steps or terms for better understanding. Ideally, a tutor can be a friend to inspire a student not just academically but personally as well.
