What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing students gain confidence in their own abilities and discover that they can succeed in subjects they once found difficult. Working closely with children who need extra support has taught me the importance of patience and creativity in finding approaches that truly connect with the learner. The most rewarding part for me is when a student reaches that “lightbulb moment,†where something finally clicks, and they feel proud of their progress.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My main strengths are patience, adaptability, and empathy. Having worked 1:1 with students across all subjects, I have learned how to break down complex tasks into manageable steps and adjust my teaching style to meet different learning needs. I am also strong at building rapport and creating a safe, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of their learning journey. My experience with special needs education has further developed my ability to use clear communication and practical strategies to help students engage with the material.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important things a tutor can do are to foster confidence, provide consistent encouragement, and tailor support to each student’s individual needs. Beyond simply teaching content, a tutor should help a student develop learning strategies, resilience, and independence. Creating a positive and trusting relationship is also essential—when students feel understood and supported, they are more likely to stay motivated and engaged.
