What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I haven't had any formal tutoring experience but this year, especially in maths, I have been a major source of help among my friends. Through completing specialist math this year, I found I have been exposed to some of the more complex information, enabling the surface level concepts to be explained a bit easier. I love seeing the light bulb switch on when my friends understand a concept. Their eyes light up and they yell "I GET IT!". I hope in some capacity is can help everyone, and show them they have the capability to succeed.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am a very bubbly person who enjoys talking to new people and kids! My outgoing nature will enable me to establish a supportive environment for students. Moreover, I am an extremely hardworking and love learning new things! I am always open to feedback, and understand everyone has different learning needs. That's why I think it's important to gain an insight into how every student learns
( because I know flashcards are my favourite! ). I am a reliable individual who really wants to see the success of students. No matter the time, date or place I would love to offer support.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
As someone who has been tutored by some amazing people, I understand how it feels to be a student. The tutor-student relationship is a key aspect, that needs to be inviting, inclusive, supportive and fun! Students need to feel comfortable to make mistakes and express confusion. Their wins should be celebrated by everyone, no matter how small or big! Everyone has the ability to exceed and students need to believe that, especially when times are tough! Tutoring is not something to dread, it is an opportunity for growth, and to prove you can do it!
