What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love being able to breakdown concpets and problems for people in various ways, help them visulise and really understand the why and how of what they are learning. I hope to constantly encourage students to keep striving upwards and absolutely love what they are learning.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

From personal experience, I have always been a visual learner and someone who wants to know why something is the way that it is. Because of this, I believe I can help fuel that curiosity and create deeper understandings for students, so they are able to strengthen their learning and performance.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I want students to feel encouraged and uplifted to learn. I mostly want too help them love learning, even though it may be difficult at times, helping them understand that it is okay to be confused and by having all these questions, it makes them a better learner. As someone who is now studying their dream degree, I want to help students achieve theirs too and be proud of their schooling efforts.

About Natalie

Emerging STEM Mentor with Strong Academic Drive

Natalie is an enthusiastic engineering student with a strong secondary school record in maths and science, making her well suited to support primary and lower secondary students. She was one of only a small group of students selected for a specialised Girls in Aerospace & Defence STEM program, and also chosen for a STEM mentoring program with a research institute. These experiences mean she is used to tackling challenging concepts and explaining them clearly, skills she brings directly into her tutoring.

Proven Student Leader Who Connects with Young Learners

Throughout secondary school, this tutor consistently held leadership roles, including multiple years as a digital learning (eLeader) representative and homeroom representative. This involved helping classmates with technology, communicating with teachers and supporting peers who were struggling. These roles have given Natalie the confidence to guide younger students, listen carefully to their concerns and adjust explanations until the student genuinely understands.

Relatable, Creative Tutor with Wide Interests

Natalie brings a friendly, down-to-earth approach that many students find easy to relate to. Outside study, she enjoys soccer, basketball, music (piano and guitar), drawing, painting and board games, and she is happy to use these interests to make examples in maths and problem-solving more engaging. Comfortable with computers and digital tools, she can incorporate interactive resources and online activities to keep lessons varied, practical and enjoyable for school-aged learners.
