What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The rewarding experience when students have that 'click,' where they finally understand a concept.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My main strengths are patience, clear communication, and adaptability. I try to explain concepts in different ways depending on how a student learns best, whether that’s through examples, visuals, or step-by-step breakdowns.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

One of the most important things is to build the student’s confidence, not just their knowledge, and to actually listen to the student so that they can get the most out of tutoring.

About ABDUL

High-achieving maths student with strong academic foundations

Abdul is currently studying a combined degree in actuarial studies and economics, a pathway that demands advanced mathematics, logical reasoning and problem-solving. In high school he studied Extension 2 and Extension 1 Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Advanced English, achieving an ATAR above 90% and ranking near the top of his cohort in both Physics and Extension 2 Mathematics. This tutor brings that depth of subject knowledge into lessons, helping students understand not just how to do something, but why it works.

Clear communicator and natural youth leader

Through roles on a student representative council and as a school prefect, Abdul has had extensive experience working with younger students, listening to their concerns and explaining ideas clearly. His involvement in a youth council, where he helped plan and deliver large community events, shows he can communicate with people from many different backgrounds and keep things well organised. This translates into structured, easy-to-follow tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s confidence level.

Relatable role model who keeps students engaged

As an active basketball player and fan of MMA and spearfishing, Abdul connects well with students who have strong interests outside the classroom. He often uses real-life examples from sport and everyday life to make maths more intuitive and less intimidating. This tutor focuses on building step-by-step confidence, breaking down challenging questions into manageable parts and showing students practical strategies they can use in class tests, homework and exams.
