Chemistry can seem a bit technical. It's all abstract formulas and content that seems impossible to learn and barely manageable to memorise. The material keeps piling up and how are students supposed to truly learn anything when they're constantly missing something and falling behind?
And it's not only about the grades. Sure, students who struggle with chemistry want to pass that test and get their grades up. It's usually their only end goal and that's completely understandable. However, we've found that once students start catching up and chemistry doesn't seem like such an enormous hurdle, their self-confidence improves as well.
When they have someone to guide them, make sense of the clutter of information and demands, students tend to struggle less in other areas as well. Your child could feel less anxious about tests and their performance, learn how to tackle tough situations and become more independent, all with the help of a local Abermain chemistry tutor.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Faye is doing well in her tutorials and has shown improvements in back checking, note taking, seeking understanding and format skills learning strategies. I believe that more improvement in being ok with being wrong, confidence and transfer skills will translate into big learning improvements.
This can be seen through working out math problems at home In general there is a good effort but maybe pushing herself to the edge more will help in the promoting her problem solving skills Great work habits both in class and at home
Started Review of the Half yearly exam. Prepared Ronnie for lab practical exam. Discussed cathode ray tube experiments. Started working with electric fields and circuits. Obviously the material on the Half yearly exam proved to be a problem area with Ronnie, we are spending time during the tutorials to go over each question and handle how to answer the question, as well as, the theory behind the question.
We are very impressed with Abitha & her approach in tutoring Capri. Already Capri is showing signs of more confidence & less anxiety with her maths.
I'd like to highly recommend Dwight to any other families. His kind and patient demeanor translate into a great tutor. He's been very helpful. My daughter just got her results from her Algebra test which Dwight had to catch her up on as that's one of the topics she missed. She got 93%. Great result and proof of Dwights great tutoring.
Joshua feels comfortable with Linh so far, which is fantastic. His teaching skills are impressive! Very happy so far...
