Learning biology is cumulative. Like learning mathematics or other science subjects - it's important to understand the basics before you can tackle complex concepts.
While most students have the right idea on how to approach studying biology, they also need a little push to achieve their goals. We've found that all it takes is the right kind of guidance at the right time.
The local Adamstown Heights biology tutors we work with are there to assist so that passing and excelling at biology doesn't seem like such a hurdle. What we look for is someone who can adjust to your child's needs, who can observe their study habits and guide them through the learning process. So what does that mean exactly?
For instance, most students know they should go over past exams and take notes. What students also sometimes do is fixate on individual questions too much and even try to memorise them. While they know what they should be doing, they might not know how to do it. This is why tutoring is invaluable.
All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you to figure out what your child needs. We organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Adamstown Heights, at your home. There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate.
And what if you don't like the tutor? No worries, it happens from time to time and we understand that! That's why the first lesson comes as a free trial.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Kai has continued to improve this past month fine tuning his skills through the listed learning strategies. He has a very thorough understanding of the content we cover and is improving in bringing in transfer skills and avoiding rule dependence. We still have some work to improve the silly mistakes that happen during exams, but apart from that Kai is doing awesome.
Mohammed has a great working mindset, he is positive at all times and is prepared to learn at the beginning of each tutoring session Mohammed attempts all problems diligently and to the best of his abilities. Mohammed's work ethics are exemplary, all problems are attempted with enthusiasm and he is actively asking questions during the lesson.
Madeline would benefit from being exposed to a range of questions so that she can pick up mathematical vocabulary as clues to help er decipher and decode word problems. Madeline needs assistance with decoding questions so that she understands what they are asking for. This can be improved by being exposed to a range of different questions from different sources e.g. various textbooks, sample papers etc.
Matthew is “very happy with Kirstenâ€. That is the best feedback a child can give. Kirsten has a big challenge to get Matthew up to speed. Kirsten is setting him homework and has increased the time that she is spending with Matthew as he needs to put in extra study with exams pending. We can't ask for more than that from a tutor than to be flexible and mindful of Matthews schedule and timelines. Overall Matthews school results are improving across all learning areas.
I am more than happy with Julie, she is just brilliant in every way. In terms of preparation and input I could not ask for more. Just great, and highly recommend Julie as a great advocate for your brand.
Mina helped me to improve considerably so that I felt confident and capable going into my final year 12 exams.
