Learning biology is cumulative. Like learning mathematics or other science subjects - it's important to understand the basics before you can tackle complex concepts.
While most students have the right idea on how to approach studying biology, they also need a little push to achieve their goals. We've found that all it takes is the right kind of guidance at the right time.
The local Aldinga biology tutors we work with are there to assist so that passing and excelling at biology doesn't seem like such a hurdle. What we look for is someone who can adjust to your child's needs, who can observe their study habits and guide them through the learning process. So what does that mean exactly?
For instance, most students know they should go over past exams and take notes. What students also sometimes do is fixate on individual questions too much and even try to memorise them. While they know what they should be doing, they might not know how to do it. This is why tutoring is invaluable.
All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you to figure out what your child needs. We organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Aldinga, at your home. There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate.
And what if you don't like the tutor? No worries, it happens from time to time and we understand that! That's why the first lesson comes as a free trial.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Learning strategies have generally remained the same since the last period: these have mainly been back checking, transfer skills, avoiding rule dependence, and seeking understanding. I've begun to include more worded, difficult questions that will often require Andrew to identify what sort of equations and rules are needed; these type of skills really stem from practice and repetition.
She has a good attitude towards her work and is happy to learn. Works for the whole hour (even though it can sometimes be a drain) and works to the best of her ability. Always knows whats happening in class and what she is up to. She is on top of her work and knows where she has issues, which make it easy to address them.
Caroline has been working well at filling in the gaps in her knowledge. The main issue is her problem solving abilities. Problem solving and worded questions are the main problem areas for Caroline.
Michelle is awesome and has taught me so much in a short amount of time. She never doubts my level of ability and is always encouraging me to go above and beyond. Her knowledge of specific maths topics is just out of this world. You guys have one awesome lady on your hands!
We have been extremely happy with our son Jacks progress and we are forever thankful for all that Thiru has done teaching and coaching Jack up to speed.
Albert is a very nice guy, polite, thorough and a good tutor, I personally would hire him again.
