Chemistry can seem abstract, learning about elements and matter, how equilibrium occurs and how chemical systems react. No wonder students get discouraged.
All it takes for a student to go from a mild distaste for chemistry to understanding what is scribbled in the textbook is someone to point out what to avoid and where to put in that extra hour of revision. It's like with any problem situation in schooling and even in their personal life, students need to know about using effective strategies. Then all you need is persistence, staying on task until you reach your goal.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Kayla has effectively learned the techniques to maximize her efforts through strategies such as talking aloud, back-checking, and most importantly pen to paper. Sometimes she does forget to use these methods and directly solves the problem, however she soon realizes her mistakes and starts the question all over again - which shows that she is very hardworking.
hard working, not afraid to do extra practise finishes homework in timely manner separate book for practise questions and showing mathematical working. Takes note of problems he doesnt understand and asks about them
Timetables and algebra Although Liam seems to understand and replicate mathematical concepts and solutions, he tends to forget them by the next session and also in his homework requiring prompting and reminders.
The tutoring is going tremendously well. The system you use, the high level of communication and dependability shown by Nirvan, and the teaching style is working exceptional well. I'm very impressed with your service, and its meeting my (high) expectations. I fully appreciate that this is not a quick fix, and it takes time. We're committed to continuing this throughout Term 3 and 4 at least. The support and patience Nirvan is showing is really helping Emily, and he is supportive and has the capacity to challenge her at the right pace. I've asked her why some things that we've tried to work through before have made more sense when explained by Nirvan. She said that he works at her pace and stays with something until she understands it. Many thanks. Your back-office communications is also highly supportive of parents and whilst you're delivering on what you've clearly explained, I find your level of communication extremely professional, supportive and consistent.
The tutoring seems to be going well. I've asked Niamh and she is also very comfortable and happy with Ben. First maths test since her tutoring with Ben started and she received a mark of 90 so I think we're on the right track.
We are very happy with Kieren. Quinn thinks it's fun and Ronan, although he's very shy, is comfortable with Kieren.
