A teacher creates an important impact in a student's life. And I want to make the best student-teacher relationship with my students. So, I'll always have their back, guiding them in the best way possible. I'll try to be a good listener and someone who is there to understand them... One of my strengths I believe is a must-have in a teacher is to…

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to become their friend. Children are sometimes uncomfortable with teachers and are unable to fully explain where they struggle. However, if we are able to get them to open up we would be able to better assist them in improving their grades. A student who is comfortable in the…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be a positive role model, and be someone to look up to, someone who can be relied upon for any academic issue. I think the biggest problem is that students are afraid of being judged or scared of what tutors might think of them, and I believe that establishing that open honest…

A tutor's role goes beyond just imparting knowledge. They should build confidence and self-belief, create a personalized and supportive learning environment, and encourage active learning and critical thinking. Clear explanations, achievable goals, and constructive feedback are essential. A tutor should also foster independence, provide guidance…

I think being a mentor is one of the most important thing a tutor can do. I believe that to be a good mentor, a tutor should be able to share their own experiences and make the student comfortable. I think it is also crucial to tell students that you also find some concepts hard initially, however, was able to grasp it by putting in the time and…

The one thing more than anything that a tutor can do is to offer a safe place where students will not be afraid of failure. Then guide them step by step until they understand the concept, and encourage them to carry on even when things get difficult. A good tutor gives confidence and no knowledge. It is extremely important that when the student is faced with a difficult question, they are able to see many potential methods to attempt it. As such I consider the most important thing that a tutor can do it expand the understanding of their student so much so that they can see these multiple methods by themselves and adapt their thinking to the…

A tutor should provide guidance and assistance at all costs for the student they are teaching. It is the tutors responsibility to do the best they can in order to help the student reach their potential. A tutor should sometimes take a step further to care for the student and a lot of the times the student will reciprocate your effort to create a…

Help them thoroughly and make sure they understand each concept that is explained. Not all people are the same and that applies to students as well, some kids are very talented while others are slow on the uptake. I believe the most important thing a tutor can do to assist a student is to understand that every individual has there own way of learning and that it is the tutor's role to adapt to the student to form personalised explanations and learning plans. Additionally, a tutor should take responsibility to maintain a good command of the subject area…

Local Reviews

EzyMath Tutoring has really catered to my needs and reacted to feedback both positive and negative to get the Tutor with the right fit for my son. Since his tutoring, in 1 term he has gone from having a lack of confidence, not completing tests and homework, to now coming in the top 5 in his class with recent test results. I highly recommend EzyMath Tutoring.

Inside BungarribeeTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 9 student Lachlan focused on solving simultaneous equations using substitution and elimination methods, and practiced modeling exponential growth and decay scenarios like population change.

Year 8 student Ethan worked through key concepts in coordinate geometry by finding gradients, midpoints, and distances between points, as well as reviewing linear equations using classwork examples.

For primary level, Year 5 student Alyssa tackled adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and rounding decimals with practical exercises and vocabulary review activities including a word search.

Recent Challenges

A Year 8 student found it challenging to keep written working clear when rounding numbers, making corrections difficult to track—"working out needs to be a bit larger," the tutor noted.

In Year 10 algebra, skipping subtraction steps in taxable income questions sometimes led to confusion about which figures had been included.

For a senior (Year 12) tackling simultaneous equations, relying mainly on the elimination method left her underprepared for substitution-based exam tasks; homework was set but not always completed before lessons.

When faced with long worded problems in both Years 5 and 9, some students hesitated to attempt full solutions without reassurance.

Recent Achievements

A Bungarribee tutor noticed a Year 12 student who was initially confused by interpreting correlation plots now accurately identifies graph relationships—something that previously led to mistakes on assignments.

In another session, a Year 10 student who used to avoid seeking help has started openly asking questions when unsure about trigonometric concepts and completed an entire booklet independently after clarifying just a few points.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 student who was hesitant with rounding numbers at first gained confidence by collaborating with her sister and finished all related questions without assistance.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Mt Druitt Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Mountain View Adventist College.
