Physics is such a vast area, it's easy to get lost. While a lot of the content can be simply memorised, which many students still do, physics also requires higher-order thinking. The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Kent has shown much improvement since I have started with him. I have seen growth in confidence and his ability to talk aloud and go through each step in working out problems. He still needs to improve in writing each step out on paper, instead of doing much of the working in his head, even for easier and less challenging questions, to get in a good habit for when he gets to more challenging questions.
Michaela is showing less interest in maths than before, this may be due to the new level of work causing her to fall behind. She doesn't seem to do much, if any maths work on her own accord.
Amelia has improved with answering worded questions but this is still an area to work on. Highlighting or underlining the important parts of the question and also drawing out any diagrams or tables have been really helpful in our lessons when we work through these.
Thanks you for your email. We have been very happy with everything. Reagan has been great with our son Jack and been a huge help to him over the past months. Jack has pretty much finished for the year now having completed his end of year exams. As he is year 12 we won't be requiring assistance next year. We have two other children and would certainly use your tutoring services again if required.
We are very happy with the tutoring so far. Ben has gained some confidence in the past couple of weeks. Robert is great.. explains things in a way that Ben can easily understand.
Nick has been an outstanding tutor for Brooke. We can't speak highly enough of him and his knowledge and approach.
