Learning science takes a lot of effort. Students not only need to know the content, but how they can use concepts, when they can use them and why it's the right approach in a given situation.
Scientific thinking isn't easily acquired, but the skills are useful across fields and many future careers are built on them. It's a fascinating field with many applications - that's why students choose to put in the time and learn it.
Most students manage to stay afloat or even excel at physics all on their own, they master most steps along the way. However, sooner or later everyone needs help.
Learning how to analyse and solve problems as physicists do is an enormous leap. So how can you get involved and make it just a bit easier for your child?
One way to lift the burden off your child's shoulders is finding someone who will be there when they need it. If they have someone they can relate to, with the right approach at the right time, students tend to achieve their goals easier.
This is how to get started.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Yasmin's talking aloud, pen to paper, self questioning, note taking, transfer skills, seeking understanding, and format skills are at an excellent level while improving all the while. She should still work on her confidence and knowing it is ok to be wrong. This could be done by voicing her thoughts about solving a question out loud, even if she's not sure whether it may be right.
Eugene's endeavour to succeed has been fantastic. He completes the homework and in-class tasks that are asked of him. He is never afraid to seek clarification on questions he would like to go through. Eugene's effort has been exemplary as reflected in his endeavour to complete the homework and in-class tasks in a timely manner. As discussed, Eugene must continue to show full working and write his steps neatly.
Jack currently needs to work on long division which we will cover in the final weeks of school before his break. At the moment we are revising all the topics done this year, but we will focus on long division, fractions and decimals in the final weeks of term 4.

We had been looking for a Maths tutor for my son for the HSC for some time with very limited success. Companies would indicate they were able to supply a tutor but when push came to shove there was either no one available or the booked tutor never showed up. In desperation I spoke to a friend who I knew had a tutor for her son. She recommended Ezy Math and indicated she was extremely happy with her son's tutor Faraz. Ezy Math were easy to get on to and able to find me a tutor for my son almost straight away. I was really pleased to be advised that the tutor was Faraz whom I had already heard good things about. Faraz contacted me and we were able to organise a suitable time. Faraz has done a fantastic job keeping my son motivated and on track. The point of the sessions for us was guided revision and to consolidate the learning that was happening in the classroom. Faraz was calm and patient and able to keep my son focussed. My son has indicated he felt the sessions were extremely useful, and really helped him to pull together what he needed for the exams. Feedback reports sent monthly let me know that Faraz felt things were on track and where improvement was needed. Invoicing and payment was easy and no fuss via the website. All in all I have been really pleased with Ezy Math and so has my son.
Lucy is wonderful. Dominique is participating well in the sessions and covering areas I feel she requires assistance in.
Things are going well. Chris is doing a very good job. Since the tutoring sessions, my daughter seems to be more positive and has stated that Chris is explaining the work well, which makes it easier to understand. I am confident that this was the right decision and can't wait to see the results.
