PDHPE Tutor Cranbourne East, VIC
The most important thing a tutor can do for their student is to have faith in them and show the student that you believe that they can reach their goals. Also, always encourage your students to improve and try harder, especially when their exams didn't turn out as well as they hoped. One of my main strengths as a tutor is the ability to build…

Inside Junction VillageTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 7 student James practised structuring TEEL paragraphs for English assignments and reviewed expectations for Year 7 content.

In Year 10, Emily focused on solving linear equations from her recent school test and worked on drawing linear graphs, including finding x- and y-intercepts using graphing methods.

Meanwhile, a Year 11 student revised statistics topics such as interpreting box plots and tackled probability questions from the textbook to prepare for upcoming assessments.

Recent Challenges

A Year 9 student struggled to keep written calculations organized in algebra, with a tutor noting, "her maths layout makes it hard to spot where she went wrong." This disorganization slowed down error correction during lessons.

In Year 3 grammar, another student often left homework incomplete, so progress on conjunctions and prepositions stalled between sessions.

A VCE student preparing for SACs was reluctant to create a bound reference, making revision less effective.

Meanwhile, a Year 8 found it difficult to retain new maths content because practice questions were left unfinished each week—leading to repeated confusion over previously covered material.

Recent Achievements

One Junction Village tutor noticed Ishan could now write a full TEEL paragraph from just a prompt and independently pick out visual images based on written descriptions—something he struggled with before.

In another session, Riley, also in high school, was able to recall key points from previous lessons and confidently apply BODMAS rules without hesitation, showing more initiative during problem-solving than last term.

Meanwhile, an upper primary student who used to quietly guess when unsure has started openly asking for help whenever she's confused, most recently raising her hand after stumbling over multiplication tables.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Cranbourne Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Lighthouse Christian College Cranbourne.
