Every student needs help sometimes, and often that help is needed in English. From basics like punctuation, spelling and grammar right up to narrative writing, proof reading and literary analysis. The Australian curriculum is thorough and there are various challenges that pop up for students over the years. At some point most students could use some help and an English tutor does just that - help! Ideally that help comes before the student has formed a negative cycle or fallen into a no-effort habit.
What we do is facilitate that help as a home service, we'll organise an in-home English tutor in Kardinya, or wherever it is convenient for you.
A local Kardinya English tutor will come to you at a time and day of your chosing and offer tutoring help in a manner tailored for your child's unique situation. The first lesson works as a trial so that if your child doesn't connect well with the tutor, you don't have to pay and we can organise someone else for you.
The terms of service are super simple too. No contracts or minimum hours or cancellation fees or anything like that. You get charged a simple hourly rate. That's it.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
We are now emphasising using pen and paper as much as possible, to get all of the information out of her head and onto the page. It may be slightly overkill for some problems but I want to encourage this in order to avoid small mistakes and increase understanding.
Eleanor is chirpy and organised as usual in tutoring sessions. I think the structure of our session has also improved - Eleanor understands that I expect periods of intense focus, and then short breaks. This is helping us to stay on track during sessions and get more done.
Jack still has some problems with memorising a couple of the formulas we use and some of the processes that are used to approach particular questions. I plan to start helping him organise some more detailed notes to improve his memory. Jack also can have trouble identifying some of the tricks regularly used in questions, which he will improve with further practice.

Domenic has only had one session with Alvin, but he thinks he is 'awesome'. He likes the tips and tricks Alvin explains for solving maths problems. He's not keen on tutorials over holidays so will continue with more weekly lessons starting next week.
I am very happy with Aston. Joshua loved him and Aston is a great role Josh. Aston will be coming over for the second tutoring lesson tomorrow and I am pretty sure everything will work out perfectly.
We had one lesson with Taruka, she is lovely and Isabella enjoyed it. With school holiday and long weekend we haven't managed another but will definitely be starting up next week again.
