No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the King Scrub chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in King Scrub, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
In the introductory session, I have introduced the student to talking aloud, back-checking, pen and paper and other learning strategies and have been encouraging him to use these during the tutorial sessions.
Although overall work habits have been above average I'd still say that more could be done, especially with doing practice exams and problems. Through all of the methods I've tested (revision or review) practice has always been the highest standard and I hope to see the practice problems I give to her done whether or not the SAC that they were given in preparation for happens.
Nikita has been able to grasp ideas of the current topic studying. However, there are gaps present when it comes to completing simple calculations and other algebraic steps. It is understandable that Nikita struggles in these areas due to inconsistency in teaching. But, through future lessons and practice she will be able to overcome such issues.
