Physics Tutor Ourimbah, NSW
A tutor in my perspective must be flexible and must be willing to offer any form of support, I.e. helping solve problems, explain concepts in detail, clear misconceptions, etc. Also it is important always maintains a positive attitude and encourages students to learn more. I also think a physics tutor should be able to provide their students with…

Physics Tutor Central Coast, NSW
The most important thing I can do for a student is to be patient. Patience is key in facilitating the process of learning as it removes the anxiety inducing pressure of expectation and allows the student to solely focus on the content at hand. Patience also allows the student to rationalise concepts at their own pace. This has the effect of deeply…

Savith has been a wonderful tutor, teaching and preparing my son for HSC Maths Extension. My son's confidence and skill have greatly improved since working with him. I highly recommend Savith to anyone needing maths tutoring for their child.

Inside MardiTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 5 student Jayden focused on calculating speed, time, and distance, as well as rearranging formulas for worded problems.

In Year 8, Chloe worked through simultaneous equations and key algebra principles, using step-by-step examples to solve inequalities.

Meanwhile, Year 9 student Emily reviewed the binomial product alongside both substitution and elimination methods for solving systems of equations, then tackled more advanced surds questions.

Recent Challenges

In Year 10, a student struggled to remember formulas for perimeter and area, often mixing them up during revision. "Sometimes he doesn't seem interested or even listening," one tutor observed, leading to missed steps when new concepts were introduced.

Meanwhile, in Year 7 algebra sessions, skipping written working made it hard to catch errors with indices and fractions—mistakes that repeated because feedback wasn't always taken on board.

For a Year 4 student, delays in starting homework meant long addition was left unfinished; coming late to sessions added further pressure. In these moments, the learning process stalled before understanding could settle in.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Mardi recently noticed a big change with a Year 10 student who used to get frustrated by algebra, but after working through simultaneous equations using substitution, he now tackles problems without hesitation and his factorisation is much neater.

In another session, a high school student who struggled to ask for help began voicing questions openly whenever she hit a roadblock in trigonometry—something she'd avoided before.

Meanwhile, one of the younger students quickly grasped long addition up to numbers as large as 30 million and invented her own shortcut for adding single-digit numbers.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Tuggerah Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Wyong Christian Community School.
