Economics Tutor Fairy Meadow, NSW
Help students grow an understand responsibility. Help students identify what study method works best for them so that they can learn to be more independent. Adaptive style of studying, I don't believe in a one size fits all method. I prefer to teach students to take responsibility and not micro manage their studying process. I believe that the…

Local Reviews

Tutoring is going really well. My kid is happy that Delila takes time to explain it all very clearly and he even said one subject they are doing is easy (unheard of for him). I can see he is starting to get a little bit more confident with his maths.

Inside Mount OusleyTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 9 student Kyra revised bearings and trigonometry, including angles of depression and elevation, as well as area of triangles using reciprocal trig values through practice questions.

For Year 10, Alex focused on linear equations and simultaneous equations, working through problems to strengthen algebraic manipulation.

Meanwhile, Year 11 student Liam worked on annuities and forming equations from worded financial scenarios, applying these skills to exam-style questions.

Recent Challenges

A Year 9 student struggled to write out all information when tackling geometry and rearranging equations, often keeping values "in their head," which led to missing units or steps.

In a Year 11 session, one student paused on simultaneous equation problems until shown exactly where to begin; as the tutor noted, "she needed each value and process pointed out before she felt ready."

A Year 8 student's math notes were disorganized, losing track of formulas for shapes and mixing up negatives—making later review much harder.

Unfinished working in test conditions meant marks were lost despite being on the right track.

Recent Achievements

One Mount Ousley tutor noticed a big change in a Year 10 student who used to depend on hints for algebra; now, she confidently corrects her own errors and tackles tougher rearranging problems without prompting.

A recent high school session saw Kyra move from confusion about how to handle '+' or '–' signs in equations to independently rearranging terms and finishing her practice test with only self-checked corrections.

Meanwhile, a younger primary student who once hesitated during reading tasks is now identifying main arguments and remembering new vocabulary, then applying those words correctly when writing from a stimulus.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Mobile Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Elonera Montessori School.
