Max often tries to do everything in his head, which can be quite overwhelming sometimes. I'm encouraging him to tell me what he's doing in his head bit by bit and asking that he also talks out loud when he's completing problems on his own.
Dylan's attitude towards his work is becoming more positive! He mentioned the fact that he wanted to make himself proud with these exams, which made me so happy to hear. He has gotten better with his work habits since we began our tutorials together, but could potentially spend his time a little differently (i.e. by going to bed earlier and waking up earlier to optimise his study time). Despite that, he is doing a fantastic job, and is putting a lot of effort into succeeding with these exams.
Did not strive to excel, minimal efforts in learning. Leave things to last minute and then depends on luck. He was given exam corrections as homework for tutoring but did not finish, rather rely on the tutor to give him directions and suggestions without attempting to solve the problems first. When I asked him to make an efforts to try, he could do it but normally did not want to.
