I believe that a tutor can provide valuable help and support for their student. Since they have already done the coursework, they are able to assist their student with the same work. Furthermore, since they have personally been through the experiences similar to that of their student, tutors are able to understand the difficulties experienced by…

To nurture and help them grow as an individual not as a student. To encourage them even when they fail and to help them love the subject of interest instead of seeing it as a daunting task that they hate. I understand the requirements and needs to excel. I also employ a mindset to act as a friend/ peer to peer help instead of a domineering figure…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to believe in them, have high expectations and help them develop their own self-belief, motivation and problem-solving skills. A good tutor will approach each student as an individual with unique strengths, interests and learning needs and will take the time to listen to them. A good tutor…

Ultimately, my goal is to empower students to become independent thinkers and problem-solvers, equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed both academically and beyond. Once you fully grasp the concept it stays with you and precision and speed with the question just comes with practice. Encouragement is the most important, but it must be coupled with good teaching. My strength would be the ability to convey the information in a form that younger students would be most likely to comprehend. Secondly I believe I have a strong grounding in English, which I think is very important because one must know something very well to teach…

I believe that student's can generally pick up on whether a tutor is invested in them quite quickly. The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is actively show them that they do in fact want them, as an individual, to do better than they've ever done before and show interest in them as a person. I am very good at picking up on what…

Good grades would be the obvious answer. However, if I can spark an interest in the subject for the student the grades will logically follow. A strength would definitely be communication, I find that I can easily get my point across eloquently. I also take pride in my etiquette and friendliness. A weakness that I can see being an issue is lesson…

A successful tutuor does more than merely help a student to raise their grade. In my opinion, a tutor should make an impression on a student. Having had the privilege of being led by an inspirational tutor in the early stages of my High School experience, I seek to emulate this role, by sharing with students the importance of learning. A…

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is not merely give additional lessons, but connect with them to gauge their individual skills and aid in further establishing them. Local Reviews

EzyMath Tutoring have been very helpful and listened to what we needed for our child. They are very good with their follow up, touching base with us along the way to see if we are happy with the Tutor and services. My daughter is very happy with her Tutor, a perfect fit for her.

Inside Tuart HillTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 10 student Olivia worked through trigonometry, focusing on using sine, cosine, and tangent to find missing sides and angles in right-angled triangles, as well as reviewing the relationship between angle of inclination and gradient.

Year 11 student Jack practised normal distribution questions, including calculating probabilities and quantiles from worded problems and revising statistical terms like mean, median, and mode.

Meanwhile, Year 12 student Ella tackled redox reactions by writing half-equations for oxidation/reduction processes and applying oxidation numbers to identify species being oxidised or reduced.

Recent Challenges

A Year 7 student arrived without a maths book, making it hard to follow the syllabus-based lesson—"it took extra time to get organised," noted the tutor.

In Year 10, one student did not complete volume homework and admitted uncertainty about textbook chapters, which delayed feedback on their understanding.

For a Year 12 Chemistry learner, exam preparation was disrupted by incomplete revision questions; they struggled to plan an effective study timetable and missed practicing key calculation sets.

Meanwhile, in Year 11 English, repeated use of the same literary features in short responses limited essay depth and left little material for feedback discussion.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Tuart Hill noticed a Year 12 student who, after weeks of confusion with normal distribution, confidently solved both textbook and past exam questions independently last session.

Another high schooler, previously hesitant to ask for clarification, is now actively bringing her own questions to lessons and using diagrams to explain concepts—she even tackled some extension chemistry problems unprompted.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 student who struggled with basic multiplication can now multiply by 10, 100, and beyond without pausing, finishing all practice sums correctly on her own this week.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Osborne Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Tuart Hill Primary School.
