What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I definitely love helping others grow and pushing them to their full potential when no-one else can. It's an amazing job that can help the society I live in which is more than I can ask for. And having been to countless tutors myself including for music and english I know how much it can help struggling students.
An active mental job such as tutoring seems perfect for me and I hope I can hone my teaching skills and start my tutoring career.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe I have a knack for putting myself in others' shoes which should be inherent to every tutor/teacher. I can thoroughly understand the perspective of my tutee and can actively create a safe learning space. Furthermore currently being a student for more than 13 years with my own struggles in learning, I can confidently gauge progress and offer supplementary help when needed.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The number one thing is being supportive and being there for the student no matter what. I believe having a shoulder to lean on that doesn't criticize but also has a slight push is crucial for a positive relationship between tutor and tutee.
Said relationship can increase the pupil's confidence, enthusiasm to work in an academic setting and boost courage to ask necessary questions.
Naturally I will be focusing on this skill but also solidifying my understanding of topics I need to teach.
