What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy watching students fulfill their potential. I also think that seeing a student grow academically and reach their potential is extremely rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am empathetic and I understand the difficulties that a student faces, and am able to provide many different solutions to overcome these. I believe. I am also very patient with others and I am able to explain a concept in different ways to suit the learning styles of a student.
With more than 2 yearsβ experience as a science teacher, I started as a teacher in a Spanish public adult school preparing students for the university access exams (mathβs, physics and chemistry subjects). The last two years I have been teaching maths, physics and chemistry to teenagers between 11-15 years old in a public secondary school in Barcelona.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe that a tutor should not just provide answers to a problem, the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is teach them how to think to solve problems. This is why teaching maths or physics should go beyond drilling procedures, formulas and theorems into a student's head - tutors should encourage students to develop a wholesome understanding of the problem, why certain steps are taken and how best to approach it.
