What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most fulfilling aspects of tutoring is the reciprocal nature of learning. As a tutor, I am constantly inspired and enlightened by my students' perspectives, questions, and insights. Each student brings a unique set of experiences, thoughts, and understanding to the table, which often leads to fresh and unexpected ways of looking at familiar concepts.
For instance, when a student presents a concept in a way I hadn't considered, it enriches my own understanding and, in turn, enhances my ability to teach that concept to others. They really have a way of making us challenge our thoughts.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
With me parents can rest assured that students are getting the utmost attention they deserve. In my previous tutoring role, I have repeatedly been offered to tutor several more students; however, I have always turned down the opportunities as, with the non-academic responsibilities I already had, I did not want to take away the attention from my existing students. I am committed to fulfilling my role as a tutor by providing them with unparalleled active engagement through feedback, discussions, and meaningful interaction.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
An amazing tutor goes beyond academic teaching to understand the unique emotional needs of their students. As a kid, I have always wanted someone to be by my side, free from the shackles of my parents or relatives, a teacher who could listen and understand to my needs. However, I never had one. In spite of this, I managed to be a tutor I have always aspired to be: a friend as much as a mentor, during my previous experience as a teacher.
I wholeheartedly believe that the most important skill a tutor to have is to be empathetic, patient, and attuned to the student's feelings, anxieties,
